Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Moneta, you confirm that you are at least 18 (or the age of majority in your province) and have the authority to enter into this agreement, for yourself or the business you represent.

2. Description of the service

Moneta is an invoicing and management platform that lets you create invoices and quotes, manage clients, track payments and generate reports. Tax calculation (GST/QST) is provided as a tool; you remain responsible for the accuracy of reported amounts and for your tax obligations.

3. Account and responsibilities

• You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity on your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are solely responsible for the content you enter (invoices, client data, etc.).

4. Plans, trial and payment

• Moneta offers a free plan and paid plans. A free trial may be offered for paid plans; no credit card is required to start.
• Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring (monthly) basis via Stripe. Applicable taxes (GST/QST) are added.
• You may cancel at any time from your dashboard; paid access remains active until the end of the current period.
• Except where required by law, amounts already paid are non-refundable.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for illegal, fraudulent or deceptive purposes.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to others' systems, accounts or data.
• Disrupt, overload or impair the proper operation of the service.
• Resell or redistribute the service without our written permission.

6. Ownership and content

Moneta, its software, brand and design remain the property of Umbreo Inc. You retain full ownership of the data and content you enter. You grant us only the limited license needed to host and process that content in order to provide the service.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access in case of a breach of these terms or abusive use. Upon termination, you may, on reasonable request, export your data before it is deleted in accordance with our privacy policy.

8. Warranties and liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of being error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, Umbreo Inc. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability to you is limited to the amounts you paid us in the last twelve months.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the applicable laws of Canada. Any dispute will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec.
